A POIGNANT tribute marks the spot where a cyclist was killed last month.
A white cycle has been placed the junction of Sarum Road and Woodman Lane in memory of David Davenport from Eastleigh.
At around 2.30pm on June 8, Mr Davenport was riding a pedal cycle along the lane when he was involved in a collision with a blue Mini Cooper.
Mr Davenport, 59, of Archers Road in Eastleigh, was taken to Southampton General Hospital but died on June 16 as a result of his injuries.
An inquest has has been opened into his death and adjourned while police are investigating.
Concerns have been raised that the road markings have deteriorated so badly that the right of way is unclear.
