A COUNCIL leader has paid a visit to a new care home which is due to open this month.
Barchester Healthcare's new care home in Fareham, Florence Court is due to open on August 23.
The company says the home will offer "bespoke person-centred residential, dementia and respite care in stunning surroundings".
Ahead of the opening, the leader of Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Sean Woodward paid a visit to the home.
He said: "“The quality of provision is superb and I am grateful to Manager Jacqui Hampton and Fiona Bacon for their time in giving me a very comprehensive tour of the facilities - from the cinema, dining rooms, lounges and even the amazing rooftop garden.
"Also the very impressive social and wellbeing programme being provided to engage residents.
"I hope that staff and residents will be happy in this new Fareham residential care facility.”
