A MAN has been charged with attempted arson following an incident at a Hampshire police station.
James Anthony Lloyd has been charged with attempted arson with intent to endanger life.
It comes after police were alerted to reports of a man shouting at staff at the Esso petrol station in Andover Road, Winchester, and trying to set a bag alight on the forecourt.
The incident happened shortly before 11pm on Sunday, August 1.
Lloyd, 33, of Christchurch Road, Winchester, was remanded in custody at Basingstoke Magistrates Court this morning.
He is next due to appear before Winchester Crown Court on September 2.
