SOUTHAMPTON’S horror punk heroes Creeper's American Noir EP is on course for a Top 5 debut on the UK's Official Albums Chart.

It was released last week via Roadrunner Records, and is already making waves.

According to the midweek chart update, the EP is set to debut in the top five, with it currently sitting at number 5, the same position that its predecessor Sex, Death & The Infinite Void debuted at last July.

The Kerrang! Award winners, whose top twenty debut album Eternity, in Your Arms was voted one of The NME’s albums of the year, are Will Gould, Ian Miles, Sean Scott, Hannah Greenwood and Jake Fogarty.

Their success here and abroad is an incredible achievement for a band who were regularly playing The Joiners just a few years ago.

Creeper made their first record with local producer Neil Kennedy at The Ranch Production House studios in Nursling.

The group's full-length debut was released in March 2017, reaching number 18 on the UK Albums Chart and topping the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart.

Creeper announced their break-up in November 2018 in a fashion reminiscent of the end of Bowie's Ziggy Stardust character in 1973. The band returned exactly a year later and released their second album Sex, Death & the Infinite Void in July 2020 with a few changes in personnel.
