POLICE closed a part of the M27 this morning after a car was crashed into the central reservation.
At around 5.15am this morning, a car is said to have gone into the central reservation barrier west of Junction 3 for Nursling Interchange.
The car was "badly damaged" according to police who rushed to the scene and closed the carriageway.
After the incident, another car, a Vauxhall Vectra then hit the crashed car.
No one was injured in the incident however and the Westbound carriageway remained closed whilst debris was cleared.
The car that hit the barrier, a Ford Fiesta, and the other Vauxhall were recovered before the road was reopened.
