POLICE in Southampton are investigating multiple reports of laser pens being shone at ships entering Southampton.
The marine unit of Hampshire Constabulary have specified in a post on Twitter yesterday that the devices had been shone at 'commercial ships.'
The post read: "We are investigating a number of incidents in which lasers have been shone at commercial ships entering Southampton Water.
"Not only is this dangerous but the offence carries a penalty of up to 5 years in prison. If you see anyone doing this please call immediately and report it."
