A CHARITY is due to a host a superhero themed festival this month in honour of local heroes.
On August 28, Eastleigh Youth and Community Trust will host its superhero themed festival and trail for its local community at its base at the Pavilion on the Park.
Running from 11am until 3pm, the event is due to honour beloved superheroes as well as real life heroes such as police, the fire department and NHS workers.
Nearby fire services and police will attend the event with the Trust also asking the public to send in nominations of local heroes who have gone above and beyond for their community.
The event is free to attend and aimed at all ages and abilities with one nominee due to also receive a prize for their efforts.
