WITH the summer holidays in full flow and businesses opened up again, parks, venues and attractions are becoming busier again.
Eastleigh offers a range of different things to do with your spare time whether you're sporty, prefer shopping, or just looking for a day out in the sun.
That is why the Daily Echo has put together a list of the top ten things to do in Eastleigh.
All locations in this list are listed as an attraction currently on Tripadvisor and are in the order of how they rank on the website:
1. Eastleigh Lakeside Railway - Lakeside Country Park
Tours, Scenic Railroads
Recent reviews:
"Great to find a train operating on a week day, as opposed to weekends and holidays like many others. The train was fantastic- a great length ride, not too quick, and beautiful scenery for the ride."
"We visited the Lakeside Country Park with the intention of walking around the beautiful lakes but couldn’t resist the opportunity to take a scenic ride on the train first! It was a really enjoyable 10-15 minute trip around the lakes."
2. TeamSport Indoor Go Karting Southampton - Barton Park Industrial Estate
Sports Complexes
Recent reviews:
"A well organised fun activity... my son and a friend were booked in for a birthday activity but last minute was let down by the friend so mum (me) stepped up... it was brilliant... Briefing completed and names changed without a hitch."
"We were a family group from age 12 to 52 and had such a fantastic time. All the staff were extremely professional, friendly & smiley, helpful and we all felt safe and had so much fun. Thank you Teamsport at Eastleigh you really did make our evening."
3. Itchen Valley Country Park - Allington Lane
Parks
Recent reviews:
"Beautiful place full of secrets and wonderful places for children to play and explore. My daughter had so much fun searching and exploring in the woods. Lots of things to have a go at. A lovely day out had by the whole family."
"So often these places can be a let down, but not this one. Hadn't been for a while but what a great improvement in the facilities and especially the food. The kids loved the food that was really plentiful and we liked it because of the price."
4. Eastleigh Museum - 25 High Street
Speciality Museums, History Museums
Recent reviews:
"We love this museum, good activities for children and is good day out. Learnt lots about the area but text is sometimes small to read. We would come again as good for family days out."
"What a lovely little place this is! Presumably run by volunteers, who were to say the least very knowledgeable. It’s only a small museum, however it’s got bags of local history. You can also stay for a coffee in their nice cafe!"

Theatres
Recent reviews:
"Wow what can i say, the band was epic, staff was so helpful and went above and beyond tonight. Keep up the great venues and thanks again."

"Whenever one is in difficulties, there is always someone to provide assistance. The only unfortunate aspect to its service is that the printing machine is not always reliable."
