THE first in a series of skills and succession plan guides for employers is now available as part of an ongoing collaboration between Eastleigh College, Solent University and employers working together to upskill people and businesses in Hampshire.

The guides respond to employers’ requests to simplify the myriad of funding and training opportunities available to them. Since July 2020 the college has helped over 900 employer partners overcome real pressure on the recruitment and retention of talent.

The first in the series is Business, Finance and Human Resources Employer Guide to Training and Succession Planning Opportunities. A number of other sector guides are due for launch in August and September including construction, engineering, digital industries, leisure industries, healthcare and early years.

The transformative impact of learning at every stage in our working lives was evident at the recent college Learner Awards where Areerath Finney, a Lead Adult Care Worker, (photographed) won Apprentice of the Year.
