THREE enterprising teenagers who were together at school have set up their own fashion label.

Now the ambitious trio aim to develop start up business Loose Ends into a national and international brand with inspired, unique designs and clever social media marketing.

Josh Haines, Josh Taylor (known as JT) and Noah Mayne-Venables, all aged 19, were friends at Twynham Sixth Form in Christchurch.

They have all known each since they were young children. Josh had been playing around with designs for several years as a hobby and the team decided to ‘go for it’ last year.

He said: “Funnily enough the beginning of the pandemic last year was a bit of a catalyst because we had a lot of time to sit and think and plan.”

They came up the name Loose Ends as a street wear brand.

They have already designed and produced a range of black and white tee shirts with striking original images and thought provoking quotes.

These are selling well through word of mouth, online and social media.

The next range will be hoodies later this year with the aim being to release a new clothing product every few months and build step by step.

The trio want to get their products into shops but see the main marketplace as online with promotion through social media platforms.

They run in their spare time after their jobs in marketing (Noah is studying at Surrey University) but want to take it full time.

“We want to take this to the top and for it to be a major, profound,” said JT. “We want to be in the leading retailers and see people walking down the streets wearing our tee shirts.”

Josh added: “We said from the off we are not in this for short term. We are not bothered about making loads of money, we want to do this because we love doing it.”

All three have invested their own money into the venture and even turned down offers of substantial cash injections from other individuals.

“At that stage we felt it was too early and we just wanted it to be us and funded by us, although we were very grateful,” said Josh. “I think it just showed the value we have already created. It was a nice compliment.”

We are really at the beginning of this but we very happy with what we have achieved so far.”
