KATRINA Field, age 25 from Woodley, Romsey has been selected to take part in the national final of the Miss British Isles 2020/21 Model Competition.

Katrina currently holds the title of Miss Hampshire 2020/21, something she first held in 2017.

The national final takes place on Friday September 3 and runs over four days at The Final Furlong Marquee, Chester Racecourse.

A panel of judges will see around 5000 entries which the competition attracts every year but only 50 will be offered a place in the finals where they will represent their home county.

She will be asked to showcase herself, talking about her hobbies and passions.

Katrina is a mum of two boys aged 5 and 1 and works as a nail technician and hairdresser but plans to attend Eastleigh College this coming October where she will train as a personal fitness instructor.

The mum of two said: “I had my second child a year ago and spent the whole of lockdown getting back into shape.

“Lockdown really helped; I had this goal to get my confidence back which you can lose when you have a child. I was pushing myself and getting to love myself again. `Love the skin you’re in` is a big part of it.

“I filled in one bit [entry form] and it says `what are your hobbies` well, looking after my children. I’m nervous but this is a real confidence boost. It means so much to me if I win.

If Katrina wins the title there are over £10,000 worth of prizes to include modelling contracts, photoshoots in Spain and Gibraltar, a portfolio of various shoots throughout the year and the Miss British Isles Crown.

Previous winners of the Miss British Isles event have been signed by top modelling agencies and have taken part in major TV shows.
