After a long enforced break, Eastleigh started the new year with a battling victory over Hythe & Dibden to remain unbeaten.
Eastleigh attacked from the start and after 10 minutes Matt Petley put Tommy Wright through to score.
Mitchell Thompson then doubled the lead from a corner and a Jamie Betteridge shot sent the home team in at half-time 3-0 up.
Hythe & Dibden started the second half strongly and had long spells of possession finally seeing Sam O'reilly pull a goal back but it wasn't enough.
Eastleigh Manager Andy Petley said "Hythe are a very strong team who have given us our toughest games this season. We played some good pass and move football but had to defend well as they took control late in the game.
