TEACHERS and pupils at Wyvern Technology College in Fair Oak put on their dancing shoes for a mass jive to celebrate the school's 50th birthday.
More than 1,350 youngsters and around 200 staff got into the 1950s spirit to mark the start of the school's half century year.
"The teachers were very keen to put on a real fun event to start the celebrations with a bang, and we've had a lot of fun," said head teacher Sheila Campbell.
"To be honest, I think a lot of the pupils see themselves on Strictly Come Dancing, but one of the Year 11 students said to me: Thank you so much for today, it's been a well fun event,' so I'm assuming it's gone well!"
