TWO people have been fined more than £400 each after skipping train fares.
Keiran Chapman, 19, skipped the £4.90 train ticket and was caught travelling between Southampton and Eastleigh without a valid ticket.
Chaprman, of Twyford Road, Eastleigh was proved guilty of the offence from April 14 this year. Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court fined him £220.
He has been ordered to pay £140 court costs, a £34 victim surcharge and £4.90 in compensation.
Hildah Mudzinganyama must also pay £423.50 - a mix of fines, compensation and costs.
The 45-year-old of Crabwood Road was caught at Weymouth Station without a valid ticket on March 17.
She was proved guilty of the offence.
Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court ordered her to pay £29.50 - the cost of a ticket.
