A CCTV camera has captured the moment a fireball flew through the sky over Hampshire last night.
Solent Ships shared a video of a meteor flying though the sky over Southampton Docks last night.
Posted on their YouTube channel, the video already has 2,440 views and shows the ball of light darting through the sky.
UK Meteor Network has reported that it has received a number of photos of a "fireball" shooting through the sky at around 9.45pm last night.
A meteor is also known as a shooting star and is a space rock that is crashing through the Earth's atmosphere.
Hampshire Roads Policing Unit have also shared a video on their Twitter of a meteor lighting up the sky last night.
It reads: "A little clip of the #meteor seen over #Hampshire earlier this evening! "Sometimes the job has us in the right place at the right time."
