A SLOW fashion group based in Southampton is hosting a free event to promote easy and sustainable clothes shopping this weekend.
The event, at Guildhall Square on Saturday (September 11) between 2pm and 5pm, will include a catwalk to show sustainable or upcycled clothing, a clothes swap station where visitors can enjoy some second-hand browsing, and a donation point for clothes for refugees.
Fast fashion sees trends updating every year and new clothes coming out to match. But the impact of the clothing industry on the environment is significant and the clothing industry is built on underpaid labour.
The event will allow fashion lovers to find out about local options for slow and sustainable fashion.
