A SOUTHAMPTON man stole alcohol, chocolate and clothing worth more than £650 in the space of just days.
Alan Ghartey raided the ASDA store in Totton on three different occasions in August this year.
During the same month, he targeted a Sainsbury's store in Fareham.
The 56-year-old of Waterloo Road made off with goods worth a total of £664.
Appearing before Portsmouth Magistrates' Court, he was charged with four counts of theft to which he pleaded guilty.
Ghartey was handed a 12-month community order to include 15 rehabilitation days.
He was fined £25 and ordered to pay £262.50 in compensation.
