A MAN has been charged after a stabbing in Winchester which left the victim with "life-changing" injuries.

Police were called to reports of a serious assault on Andover Road on Thursday, September 9, at 7.12am.

A 37-year-old man was found with stab wounds and was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are described as "life-changing".

Long Fei Zheng, 49, of Vernham Road in Winchester, has been charged with wounding with intent.

He has been remanded in custody and appeared before Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Saturday, September 11.
