A FOOD delivery service is on the hunt for new drivers as it announces its launch in two new locations.

Deliveroo has revealed that it will launch in Hedge End and Totton later this month in what is touted as a “major boost” to local businesses, who will be able to reach new customers.

Now though, the firm is looking for more riders and drivers to join its 50,000 strong team.

The company has seen rider demand soar this year and says this rapid growth in on-demand work underlines the “vital role” that it plays in providing work opportunities for riders.

The company has also revealed that rider satisfaction has never been as high, in part due to the role that riders carry out in their communities as ‘key workers’ and the public support they have received during the pandemic.

Ben Lacey, regional director, said: “We’ve seen a huge demand for Deliveroo in Hedge End and Totton and we’re excited to be launching this month. We’re really excited to be creating new work opportunities for local people."
