MOTORISTS are being warned to expect delays in Eastleigh town centre as building work on the new cinema complex forces the partial closure of Wells Place for three months.
From Monday the road, which runs alongside the northern side of the Swan Centre, will be closed to traffic coming from Southampton Road.
The alterations, expected to remain in place until April, mean cars headed for the 500-capacity Mitchell Road multi-storey car park will instead have to take a route along Leigh Road and Market Street.
Access for deliveries to Wells Road and Mitchell Road will also be affected.
During the closure Wells Place will be opened up between High Street and Market Street, allowing lorries to travel in via Romsey Road, Leigh Road, Desborough Road and Hanns Way.
