A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following heavy police presence in Andover Road, Winchester
A MAN charged over a serious assault in the city centre will go on trial next month.
Long Fei Zheng, 49, is set to appear at Winchester Crown Court on October 13, officials confirmed today.
He has been charged with wounding with intent.
This comes after 37-year-old Lin Xin was found with stab wounds in Andover Road on September 9 at an address close to the Carfax junction.
Zheng, of Vernham Road, Weeke, Winchester, appeared before Basingstoke Magistrates Court on September 11.
