A GRIEVING Southampton man who wrote and produced a song in memory of his wife is donating a percentage of the royalties to the hospice that cared for her during the last weeks of her life.

Hayley Marie Kesby, mother-of-three, step-mum to one and wife to Aaron Kesby, passed away on January 21, 2020, losing a two year cancer battle at the age of 40.

She left behind her heartbroken husband and three young sons and a step daughter.

Hayley spent the last three weeks of her life in the care of Mountbatten Hospice Hampshire.

Aaron, who lives in Aldermoor, said that while at the hospice, she was given "the best care and treatment under the circumstances".

In a bid to show his appreciation to the staff who cared for his wife, Aaron came up with the idea to write and produce a song in memory of Hayley.

Aaron, who goes by the stage name Mr Hidden Treasure, told the Daily Echo: "[Hayley] sadly passed away on January 21, 2020, losing a two year battle to cancer at the age of 40 leaving me and our young children behind.

"She spent the last three weeks of her life in the Mountbatten Hospice Hampshire, we’re she was giving the best care and treatment under the circumstances.

"So I came up with a heart warming idea to show my appreciation and give something back to the Mountbatten hospice in memory of my wife by producing and writing a song called Have You Ever, which is set to be released on Friday, September 24, in all major digital stores and steaming site such as iTunes, Amazon, and so on."

Aaron has decided to donate 40 per cent of the royalties to the song to Mountbatten Hospice Hampshire.

"Even when I’m not here they will still be able to collect royalties from purchases from iTunes, Amazon, steams from Spotify and YouTube, PRS and so on," he said.

Mr Hidden Treasure's Have You Ever is being released on September 24.
