A MAN was taken to hospital suffering from breathing difficulties after a chemical incident at a holiday village in the New Forest last night.
A total of 22 firefighters were needed after reports of chlorine leaking within the plant room of Shorefield Holiday Village in Shorefield Road.
It is thought the man might have been a member of staff.
Two chemical protection suits were used by the crews from New Milton and Lymington who were called at 5.47pm.
A special equipment unit and incident command unit was also deployed from St Mary's in Southampton and the incident was dealt with by 7.19pm.
