COASTGUARD rescue teams scrambled to a medical emergency over the weekend.
Calshot Lifeboat and a team from Hillhead Coastguard raced to help a vessel in difficulty in the River Hamble.
The boat was towed into Hamble Harbour and the person was treated by paramedics following the incident at around 9pm on Sunday.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, rescue teams were called to Itchen Bridge following reports of red flares being fired into the sky.
However, the callout "amounted to nothing" and no one in distress was found.
