HAMPSHIRE residents have been landed with hefty fines for breaching coronavirus rules.

For gathering in groups and getting caught out and about during lockdown, they must fork out substantial sums for breaking covid rules this year.

On average, a breach means a whopping fine of £1,760 - and that's not including court costs.

Here we sum up some of the Hampshire cases.

All of the defendants were proved guilty under the single justice procedure with their cases heard by North Hampshire Magistrates' Court:

JASON GOULDING, 30, of Hinkler Road, Southampton. Was proved guilty of participating in a gathering of two or more people at a home in Station Road, Park Gate on March 2. Fined £1,760 and must pay £90 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

ALFRED ANGLISS,19, of Cossack Green, Southampton. Was proved guilty of participating in a gathering of two or more people at his home address on February 27. Fined 492 and must pay £90 court costs and a £49 victim surcharge.

MIHIA CIOROIU, 31, of Graham Road, Southampton. Was proved guilty of participating in a gathering of two or more people at his home address on February 13. Fined £1,760 and must pay £90 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

KATHRYN DREW, 22, of Shirley Road, Southampton. Was proved guilty of being outside her home, in a tier 4 area, without a reasonable excuse in Southampton on March 6. Fined £1,760 and must pay £90 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

ANNE MARIE DAVIDSON, 51, of Millbrook Road East, Southampton. Was proved guilty of participating in a gathering of two or more people at her home address on January 29. Fined £1,760 and must pay £90 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

STEFAN MARIAN GEORGESCU, 43, of Harold Road, Southampton. Was proved guilty of participating in a gathering of two or more people at a home in Graham Road on February 13. Fined £1,760 and must pay £90 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

SAJID ANWAR, 41, of Seacole Gardens, Shirley, Southampton. Was proved guilty of participating in a gathering of two or more people in Stevens Road, Eastleigh on January 31. Fined £1,760 and must pay £90 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

BRANDON GIL, 23, of International Way, Southampton. Was proved guilty of participating in gathering of two or more people after getting caught in a Ford Fiesta in Shirley Road on February 3. Fined £1,760 and must pay £90 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

ZEQIR BEQIR, 33, Hazeley Road, Twyford. Was proved guilty of participating in gathering of two or more people after getting caught in a Toyota Landcruiser in Paynes Road on February 10. Fined £1,760 and must pay £90 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

JACOB PETERS, 21, of Cromwell Road, Southampton. Was proved guilty of participating in gathering of more than two people in London Road, Southampton, on February 25. Fined £1,760 and must pay £90 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

DILLAN MCNALLY, 23, of Irving Road, Southampton. Proved guilty of being outside her home, in a tier 4 area, without a reasonable excuse in Buckholt Lane, West Tytherley, on February 20. Fined £1,760 and must pay £85 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

DANIEL CHRISTOPHER JOHNS, 28, of Kingsdown Way, Southampton. Proved guilty of participating in gathering of two or more people at a home in Botley Road, Romsey, on January 28. Fined £1,760 and must pay £85 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

EMMA TRAVERS, 43, of Honeysuckle Road, Southampton. Proved guilty of participating in gathering outdoors in Stevens Road, Eastleigh, on January 31. Fined £1,760 and must pay £85 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

CONNOR TREVOR LENDON, 28, of Shirley Road, Southampton. Proved guilty being outside his home without reasonable excuse in Southampton, on March 6. fined £1,760 and must pay £85 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

JAMES MCKINNON, 21, of Milton Road, Southampton. Proved guilty of gathering in London Road, Southampton, on February 25. Fined £1,760 and must pay £85 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

CLAIRE LOUISE TOOLEY, 37, of Aldermoor Road, Southampton. Proved guilty of participating in gathering at a home in Station Road, Park Gate, on March 3 .Fined £1,760 and must pay £85 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

COSMIN LUPU, 22, of Graham Road, Southampton. Proved guilty of participating in gathering of two or more people at his home address on February 13. Fined £1,760 and must pay £85 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.

LEE MARTIN RALPH, 36, of Hinkler Road, Southampton. Proved guilty of participating in gathering of two or more people at a home in Station Road, Park Gate, on March 2. Fined £1,760 and must pay £85 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.
