A FALLEN tree is currently blocking a Southampton road, after high winds battered the city this morning.
The tree fell in Hulse Road and is blocking traffic in both directions.
At 11am, a Southampton City Council spokesperson confirmed that a tree officer was currently at the scene and a road closure was in place.
They added: "The tree surgery team will be arriving to clear it once they have finished their current clearance.
"Balfour Beatty currently have a team on site to close the road around the fallen tree until the surgery team arrive."
It is not currently known if any property has been damaged or if any people have been injured.
