TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences following a police stop-and-search in the New Forest.

At around 2.10am today officers stopped a red Nissan Micra after it was seen to be exceeding the speed limit in Lyndhurst High Street.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers carried out a search of both the vehicle and the occupants during which they located and seized a quantity of Class B drugs.

"A number of mobile devices were also seized.

"A 19-year-old man from Lymington has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.

"They both remain in custody at this time."
