Five fun things to do in the New Forest this weekend

Plethora of pumpkins at Totton

Today sees the start of the month-long Pumpkin Time event at Sunnyfields Farm in Jacobs Gutter Lane, Totton.

Thousands of pumpkins, squash and cucurbits can be bought by people who want to take them away to carve, paint and decorate their home.

Sunnyfields Farm is open between 9am and 9pm. Tickets must be bought in advance and customers are asked to arrive within their 30-minute time slot.

Getting all steamed up at Burley

Disappointed by the decision to cancel this year's Netley Marsh Steam and Craft Show?

The Burley Steam and Vintage Vehicle Show is a perfect event for transport enthusiasts who missed out when the other event fell victim to the pandemic.

The show is being held at Burley Park between noon and 3pm today and tomorrow.

Getting all tooled up at Netley Marsh

Tools for Self Reliance (TFSR) is holding a tool and haberdashery sale at its workshops in Ringwood Road, Netley Marsh, between 10am and noon today.

A wide variety of items will be for sale, including power tools, gardening equipment and sewing machines. All have been deemed unsuitable for TFSR projects.

A spokesperson said: "Grab a bargain and support our fundraising, which supports tools to reach trainees when they finish their 12-month training."

A crafty way to find Christmas gifts

NEW Forest Makers are holding a craft market at Lyndhurst Community Centre between 10am and 3pm today.

About 20 stallholders are taking part in the market, which is seen as an ideal event for people who want to start thinking about their Christmas shopping.

An eco-friendly event at Lymington

St Thomas's Church in Lymington is holding an eco-fair between 10am and 3pm today.

The event is an opportunity for people to learn more about local organisations and how they are making a difference to the environment and biodiversity.

There will be hands-on activities for people of all ages. Tea, coffee and cakes will be available.
