MOTORISTS are being told to be cautious after a manhole cover collapsed on a Southampton road.
The incident has happened on Millbrook Road West, just after Paynes Road.
The collapsed manhole cover is on the outbound carriageway, in lane one of three.
Now a highways team from Southampton City Council is on route to fix the issue.
Motorists are being urged to approach the route with caution.
A council tweet read: "Millbrook Road West outbound has been reduced to 1 lane while we repair a broken manhole cover in lane 1/2.
"Traffic is flowing freely still and currently no delays on the approach from Mountbatten Way."
