COVID is on the rise across most of Southampton – with cases more than tripling in one area.
Out of the city's 31 districts, 24 saw an increase in the seven days to October 1 when compared to the week before.
In the same period, just six reported a decrease and one no change, according to the latest Government data available.
The areas with the most drastic increases were Thornhill (66 cases, up 45 or 214.3%); Itchen (33 cases, up 21 or 175%); Sholing West (28 cases, up 16 or 133%); Bitterne South (24 cases, up 12); and Harefield (23 cases, up 12 or 103%).
As a whole, Southampton reported 1,036 cases, up 268 or 34.9%. This is a case rate of 409.7 per 100,000 people.
Hampshire reported 5,122, an increase of 721 or 16.4% – increasing the case rate to 368.7 per 100,000 people.
County data does not include cases from Southampton or Portsmouth.
Clusters are shown when there are three or more new cases reported at any one time.
Anywhere with between zero and two cases are shown in white in order to "protect the privacy of individuals and prevent disclosure", the Government organisation states.
