A MAN has been taken to hospital after falling from Southampton's Itchen Bridge.
Police were called to reports of concern for welfare at 11.40pm last night.
It was reported that a man had fallen into the water from the bridge.
Ambulance crews were also on the scene and the man was recovered from the water.
He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the scene before being taken to University Hospital Southampton.
A South Central Ambulance spokesperson said: "We sent to the scene an ambulance officer, critical care car from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and an ambulance crew who were assessing and treating one patient who sustained non life threatening injuries."
A police spokesperson added that the man is now in a stable condition.
