A MAN has been arrested after a car was driven at a pedestrian before fleeing from the scene.
Yesterday evening the driver of a silver BMW drove at and hit a man at the junction of Albert Road and Consort Road in Eastleigh, police say.
A verbal exchange occurred between the driver of the vehicle and the victim, before the vehicle was seen to flee the scene at around 5.30pm.
A man in his 40s from Eastleigh suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.
Following the incident, a 36-year-old man from Eastleigh was located and arrested by officers on suspicion of dangerous driving and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
He remains in custody.
