CASES have tripled in one area of Southampton as Covid continues to be on the rise.
Out of the city's 31 districts, 22 saw an increase in the seven days to October 2 when compared to the week before.
Only seven reported a decrease and two no change in the same period, which is the latest Government data available.
The Itchen district reported 24 new cases, tripling the number; Harefield has 26 , up 15 or 136.4%; and Thornhill, 57 cases, up 29 or 103.6%.
As a whole, Southampton reported 1,032 cases, up 249 or 31.8%. This is a case rate of 408.1 per 100,000 people.
Hampshire reported 5,139, an increase of 694 or 15.4% – increasing the case rate to 373.8 per 100,000 people.
County data does not include cases from Southampton or Portsmouth.
Clusters are shown when there are three or more new cases reported at any one time.
Anywhere with between zero and two cases are shown in white in order to "protect the privacy of individuals and prevent disclosure", the Government organisation states.
