ROADWORKS are set to take place across Southampton next week.

Below is a list of all the works to be aware of if you're travelling in the city by road:

Brownhill Way/Frogmore Lane/Lower Brownhill

A major highway improvements scheme is taking place from October 14 and is set to end as of March 2022.

Phase 1 (October 14 to end of November) will include lane closures on Brownhill Way and full closure of Lower Brownhill Road, plus no access to Lower Brownhill from Colne Avenue.

Two-way traffic will be maintained on Brownhill Way at all times.

Mountbatten Way

Closure outbound between Southern Road and West Quay Road from 10pm, October 13 to 6am, October 14. This is for maintenance to be carried out at the police station.

Charlotte Place Roundabout

Work as part of a highways improvement scheme taking place from October 11 for two weeks.

Includes a full closure of East Park Terrace at its junction with Charlotte Place and a lane closure on Charlotte Place itself.

Grosvenor Square

Work as part of highways improvement scheme from October 11 for eight weeks.

Full closure from Cumberland Place to Park Lane and occasional lane closures on Cumberland Place.

Albert Road North

Two-way signals are in place between Elm Terrace and Chapel Road. This began on September 27 and is set to go on until October 11.

This is due to an emergency gas leak.

Portswood Road

Telecom works is taking place at the junction for Alma Road from October 11 to October 15.

Multi-way signals will be place which will be manually controlled at traffic peaks.

Kingsclere Avenue

A full carriageway reconstruction is taking place from October 11 to December 17.

Phased closures will be implemented (advised locally) for the entirety.
