A DEAD calf has been found next to a burnt out van in the New Forest.
Police have launched an investigation after they received reports of a burnt out flat-bed van on Beaulieu Road.
In front of the van was the body of a young calf.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "We were called at 8.10am yesterday morning (Friday, 8 October) to a report of a burnt out van on Beaulieu Road, next to a calf that had sadly died.
"Officers are investigating.
"Anyone who saw anything suspicious or has any information is asked to call us on 101 quoting 44210403883."
