HAMPSHIRE is set to welcome three major events this month, each designed to support the reduction of our corporate carbon emissions.

Delegates from many of the UK's leading corporations, SMEs, and the public sector will attend one of the leading dedicated exhibitions - The Big Sustainability Expo, its co-event the newly launched Hampshire business leaders climate summit, and the Big Sustainability Awards that evening. 

Hosted by the Southern Sustainability Partnership, and located in the city of Southampton's St. Mary's Stadium, the company called on city businesses to back the achievements in the county by supporting the Big Sustainability Awards as it moves to the city for the first time in its three year history. 

The event directors said: " Businesses across different industry sectors answered our call to lend their support, creating this year's  City Champions. Like these businesses, we are extremely proud of what is being achieved in the city - and across the county of Hampshire and our City Champions are pleased to help us in rewarding them. 

"This year's City Champions include those from the sporting world - Southampton Football Club; Sustainable distribution -  Meachers Logistics; Low energy heating solutions - Yandiya Technologies; Energy management - Zenergi; Legal services company - Paris Smith; and, highway maintenance and infrastructure improvements - Balfour Beatty.

"Mechanical and Electrical company, GHS Group based in Gosport will act as awards Ambassador for the second year running. Themselves winners of the Business of the Year Award in 2019."
