A MAN has been arrested after police rushed to reports of a burglary in progress.
On Sunday, reports were made to officers of a burglary in progress at Fryern Arcade in Chandler's Ford.
It was said that a man entered one of the stores on Winchester Road just before 1am.
He is then said to have fled the scene.
Officers rushed to the area and located a man matching the description given by a member of the public.
They claimed a number of items were seized from his property after it was searched.
Now a 40-year-old man from Chandler's Ford has been arrested.
He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and was later released with a condition caution.
