Young witches and wizards are invited to enjoy some Halloween fun at the Watercress Line with the return of the magical Wizard Weekend at the end of half term.

Tickets are now on sale for the spine-tingling treat, which runs from October 29 to 31 between 11am and 4pm.

There's plenty of wicked thrills being conjured up at the popular Hampshire steam railway attraction - including terrific rides on the Wizard Express steam train and the chance to walk in Harry Potter’s footsteps over the famous railway footbridge where Harry received his Hogwarts Express ticket in the film!

Youngsters are invited to dress as their favourite creepy character - ghastly ghosts and pumpkins, little monsters and batty bats are welcome to enter the fancy dress competition every day at Ropley station, at 12pm and 2pm.

Little ones will also have the opportunity to make a magic wand, get their faces painted into something scary, try their hand at some Halloween crafts and meet some creepy crawly creatures.

Watercress Line general manager Simon Baggott said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating Halloween with our Wizard Weekend event this year.

“There’s plenty for all the family to get involved in and watch out for scary characters popping up to spook you! It will be a magical weekend to remember.”
