Higher Power will be coming to Southampton in November, as part of their UK tour.

The genre-defying group from Leeds will be performing at The Joiners on November 4 , as part of their UK tour supporting Wrexham pop punk band Neck Deep.

Comprised of brothers Jimmy Wizard (vocals) and Alex Wizard (drums), plus Louis Hardy (guitar), Max Harper (guitar) and Ethan Wilkinson (bass), Higher Power quickly established themselves as a crossover force before releasing their full-length debut ‘Soul Structure’ in 2017. Produced by Gil Norton, ‘27 Miles Underwater’ then amplified their expansive, cross-genre sound and elevated their growing critical acclaim.

The band are known for their euphoric performances, as evidenced by their ‘In the K! Pit’ performance for Kerrang.

Metal Hammer describe the band as “A diverse sound that combines 80s metal influences, lush 90s alt and Alice In Chains sludge, doused in snotty Suicidal Tendencies’ attitude”, whilst the i newspaper described the group as “A genre-tripping mix of hardcore, grunge and post-rock”.

Speaking of Higher Power, NME said “If ever there was a case to be made for British hardcore being in one of its most productive and creatively fertile periods ever, Higher Power could be chosen as exhibit A”, whilst Kerrang added “The honest truth is that they are doing things here that few bands in any genre are really doing.”

Tickets for the headline shows are available here, and the tour will feature support from Static Dress.
