ROADWORKS are set to take place across Southampton next week.

Below is a list of all the works to be aware of if you're travelling in the city by road:

Redbridge Road

Lane closures are set to be put in place from October 22 to 23. This is due to out of hours road maintenance.

Dock Gate 20

The gate is set to reopen again as of Monday after being closed since October 16. In the mean time, a diversion has been put in place and people are asked to use Dock Gate 10.

Briton Street

The road is set to be closed from High Street to Queensway in the daytime hours of October 24. This is due to a crane on the highway for building maintenance.

Albert Road North

Two-way signals are in place on the road between Elm Terrace and Chapel Road due to an emergency gas leak. This began on September 27 and is set to end on Monday.

The Avenue

Multi-way signals will be in place at the junctions for Burgess Rd / Burgess Rd junction Bassett Crescent East / Bassett Avenue junction Bassett Crescent East. This will be in place on Wednesday and Thursday.

This is due to out of hours non excavation works to clear blockages for telecoms.

West End Road

Two-way signals will be in place from Monday until October 26. This is so that resurfacing works can be completed.

Brownhill Way / Frogmore Lane / Lower Brownhill Way

A major highway improvements scheme is taking place between October 14 and March 2022.

Phase 1, which started on October 14 is set to end as of November. It will include lane closures on Brownhill Way, a full closure of Lower Brownhill Way, including no access to Lower Brownhill Way from Colne Avenue.

Two-way traffic will be maintained on Brownhill Way at all times.
