Average speed cameras on the M27 motorway
A WINCHESTER driver has been fined for speeding in the Smart Motorway section of the M27.
Adrian Guise Williams, 54, was measured driving a 03-reg Land Rover at 61mph in the 50-zone between junctions 4-5 near Eastleigh on February 18 last year, a court heard.
Williams, of Alresford Road, was convicted under the single justice procedure and fined £68 with a £32 victim surcharge and three penalty points added to his licence.
The Smart Motorway works are soon to move onto the M3 between Southampton and Winchester where similar speed restrictions and cameras will be in place.
