A PROTECTED Southampton building could see the installation of CCTV cameras following the theft of a car from a doctor and nurse.

A planning application has been submitted to Southampton City Council to install CCTV cameras on Regency House in Grosvenor Square in Bargate.

The application states that the cameras would be "discreet" with minimal drilling required to install.

The building is located on the western side of Grosvenor Square and is Grade II listed, which means it is protected as it is of special interest, warranting every effort to preserve it.
