FLOWERS have been left at the site where a Southampton man was killed in a crash at the weekend.
Notes and flowers have been left at the scene of the incident on Portsmouth Road.
The crash happened on Saturday morning when a Ford C-Max collided with a tree close to the junction with Hurst Lane.
Police were called at 6.30am but it was later confirmed that a 32-year-old man from Southampton had died in the incident.
His family were informed soon after and are now being supported.
Officers investigating say they want to work out the exact circumstances of the crash and are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw the vehicle in the moments leading up to the crash.
Signs have been put up by police near to the crash site asking for anyone who saw anything to get in touch.
