A SOUTHAMPTON man caught riding over the alcohol limit on an electric motorbike has been given a 12-month road ban.
John Damp was stopped riding an electric-powered motorbike on Winchester Road.
He was given a breath test and found to be five points over the alcohol limit.
Appearing before Southampton Magistrates' Court, the 58-year-old of Portswood Road was charged with using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance and drink driving.
Damp pleaded guilty to both of the offences which happened on September 25 this year.
He was disqualified for 12-months and fined £70.
Furthermore, he must pay £45 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
