THREE men are in police custody following an attempted car theft from a residential driveway.
A man spotted three people trying to steal his car from the driveway of his home in Beaulieu Road, Marchwood.
He alerted police to the incident which happened just after midnight last night.
On arrival officers, arrested three men on suspicion of attempting to steal a motor vehicle.
Following a search, one of the men was found to be in possession of a catapult.
A 19-year-old man from Holbury was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle and possession of an offensive weapon.
A 20-year-old man from Fawley was arrested on suspicion of attempt theft from a motor vehicle and possession of an offensive weapon.
A 31-year-old man from Holbury was arrested on suspicion of attempt theft of a motor vehicle.
According to police, all three remain in custody at this time.
