MASKERS Theatre Company return to their studio in Shirley this weekend with Out of Focus, a comedy to chase away the Covid blues.

An overbooked village hall leads to hilarious confusions in the latest production from the celebrated amateur dramatics group.

Chaos ensues as the locals arrive at the village hall, finding themselves involved in pantomime rehearsals.

Daily Echo:

Bossy Brown Owl is trying to get her claws into delicious David and trying to organise a sleep over for her brownies at the same time, sexy secretary Linda is threatening to derail Bob and Kath’s marriage and Wimpy Wayne is more concerned with finding a phone signal than remembering his cues.

Will anyone ever actually want to listen to one of Leonard’s illustrated slide shows on steam trains, spiders or Genghis Khan? Before long it’s a chaotic mix of painted sandwiches, broken wands, and an embarrassing incident in the Tesco wine aisle.

Careful Covid precautions and procedures will be in place including a new ventilation system at the studio in Emsworth Road.

The show runs from tonight (Friday October 22) to Saturday October 30.
