UPDATE: The road has reopened
A BUSY road has been shut after an unexploded bomb was discovered.
Military Road in Gosport is closed to all traffic and pedestrians between Privett Road and Station Road.
Emergency services are dealing with an 'unexploded ordnance' on the HMS Sultan site.
A spokesperson for HMS Sultan said: "We can confirm that ordnance was discovered at HMS Sultan. Royal Navy Bomb disposal are in attendance and an investigation is underway.
"We are working with Hampshire Constabulary and Military Rd has been closed.
"Until we have further information it would be inappropriate to comment further."
