A total of 13 dispersal orders have been issued as part of a police crackdown on anti-social behaviour.

As previously reported, police in Romsey are currently running 'Operation Jester' after reports of disorder in Romsey town centre.

Now though, officers say they have issued 13 dispersal orders in the area across the last three weekends.

This comes after Romsey and Southampton North MP, Caroline Nokes said she has "consistently supported the use of dispersal orders in the town to help the police deal with a small minority of individuals".

The operation is now set to continue with police saying "we will use every tool in our repertoire to tackle such inconsiderate behaviour".

In a post on Test Valley Cops Facebook account, a spokesperson said: "We understand the issue that anti-social behaviour can have on people’s lives, which is why we’re doing everything we can to address these issues for our residents.

"ASB across the district has been a district priority for us, and we will continue using targeted patrols and formal action to disrupt those involved.

"We would ask you to report any anti-social behaviour to us, via 101 or online, so we can best target our patrols and build a better picture of where ASB is affecting our residents."
