Closures and traffic controlling measures will be put in place as work takes place on Southampton's roads next week.

Below is a list of all the road works to be aware of next week:

Brownhill Way / Frogmore Lane / Lower Brownhill

A major Highway Improvements Scheme is taking place from October 14 to the end of March 2022

Phase 1 started on October 14 and is set to last until the end of November.

It will include lane closures on Brownhill Way and a full closure of Lower Brownhill Road including no access to Lower Brownhill from Colne Avenue.

Two-way traffic will be maintained on Brownhill Way at all times.

Grosvenor Square

A full closure is currently in place for eight weeks having started on October 11.

The closure runs from Cumberland Place to Park Lane and occasionally lane closures are also in place on Cumberland Place.

This comes as part of a Highway Improvements Scheme.

Shirley Road

A Highway Improvements Scheme is taking place at the junctions Cawte to Malmesbury.

Having started on October 4, the scheme involves small closures of Cawte, Dyer and Malmesbury (not at the same time) and lane closures and signals on Shirley Road. This will run until November 20.

Town Quay

A Westbound Closure will be in place between High Street and Platform Road on November 3 between 8pm and 6am due to repairs to a manhole cover.

Bassett Wood Road

The road is closed at the junction of Bassett Avenue to Bassett Wood Drive for footway improvements.

This will start on November 1 and last until November 14.

Bassett Green Road

Multi-way signals will be in place at the junction for Lobelia Road from November 3 to November 5.

This is due to a new water connection.

Wide Lane

Two-way signals will be in place on November 1 and 2 for Telecom works.

Highfield Lane

Multi-way signals are in place at the junction for Brookvale Road.

This began on October 27 and will last until November 2 between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.
