POLICE officers are continuing to gather evidence following a night of chaos on a Southampton estate.

The investigation comes after gangs of youths flipped cars and smashed windows in Millbrook on Sunday, October 31. 

Three cars were reportedly flipped over in Ennerdale Road and another in Maybush Road.

The front doors of the One Stop store in Cumbrian Way were also vandalised.

Officers have been in contact with "a number of people" who have come forward with information, video and CCTV.

In a post on Facebook, a spokesperson said: "We are now in the process of sorting through the information to see if we can identify persons involved in criminal activity and anti-social behaviour.

"We have been in contact with victims, witnesses and conducted house to house and CCTV enquiries in the area. We are searching through video and other images to see if we can identify anyone whose face wasn’t hidden behind a mask or hood.

"We are still looking for video, pictures, ring doorbell footage, dash cam, CCTV or any other information that would support the investigation.

"We continue working with our partner agencies to obtain as much information as possible to hold those responsible to account and help the victims and those affected by the events.

"If you are a parent or guardian of a young person who has committed any offence during this period.

"We urge you make contact with us so we get this dealt with quickly and with least amount of stress for all.

"Don’t wait for a knock on the door by the Neighbourhood team."

The force is encouraging anyone with information about this incident to report it and victims who have not come forward to do so.
